JBA part # 6610 headers (Long Tube) are designed to fit 1964-1/2 - 1970 289/302 (not Boss) Mustangs equipped with 4 spd manual, T5 5-speed manual C3/C4 automatic transmissions and AOD automatic transmissions. JBA offers a seperate header for each application.

These headers provide significant increases in torque and horsepower throughout the RPM range and allow for maximum ground clearance.

To help make sure you choose the correct headers and exhaust for your Mustang please refer to the chart below. If you still have questions, give us a call.

JBA long tube header part #6610 fits 1964 1/2 to 1970 Mustang with the following transmissions: 4-speed, AOD, C3 and C4 automatic transmission. Vehicles equipped with C6 or AOD automatic transmission require a unique part cross member. 1965-1966 Mustang requires cross member #1754 and 1967-1970 part #1753.

JBA long tube header part #6611 fits 1964 1/2 to 1970 Mustang with T5 5-speed manual transmisson. A unique cross member is required for 1965-1966 Mustang (part #1752) and part number 1751 for 1967-1970 Mustang. Mechanical or hydraulic clutch linkage OK. Does Not fit factory power steering!

Specifications: 1-3/4" stainless steel primary, 3" collector, 3/8" laser-cut flanges

Engine 289/302

Cylinder head 289/302/5.0 with stock Windsor port location

Transmission cross member: stock

Block: stock

Clutch: Stock mechanical with factory equalizer bar

Motor mounts: Stock

Bell housing: Stock or scatter shield. Scatter shield may require clearance.

Starter: Stock or mini starter OK.

Suspension: Reproduction upper-a arm mounting studs may need to be shortened.

Manual steering: No application problems.

Factory power steering: OK with power steering ram bracket. except #6611 T5 application.
